It's been a while

Well, it's been a while since i've been on here. Time to play catch up.

Melissa is now 17. she has a car and her drivers license. Her grandparents got her the car and tried to make her think we, her parents bought it for her. Jim and I are not dishonest to our kids so it was important to us that she knew exactly where that car came from. She is no longer dating Justin. She has a different boyfriend (i like this one more). His name is Tim.

Andrew is 14 years old and he is on his X-box and laptop all the time. He still takes time out for Buddy who now enjoys a game of fetch. I think it's so funny how Andrew is so protective of him. One thing I failed to mention in a previous blog is how he held on to him during the windstorm. He wouldn't let Buddy near any of the windows. He stayed with him the whole time.

Jim and I are still at our jobs. Nothing has changed there. We did manage to take a trip to Cumberland Falls (just the two of us). We had a wonderful time. It was the first time we have ever taken an overnight trip without the kids. Cumberland Falls was huge this year. With the enourmous rainfall came enormous falls. It was awesome to say the least. The weekend was perfect in every way. I told Jim that I thought the trip was going to be about 4 hours (i estimated). It was only 2 and a half. We decided to eat at Wendy's when we arrived in Corbin, Ky (home of Cumberland Falls), it was right off the interstate (You couldn't miss it). Our hotel was behind Wendy's. We didn't have to drive around forever trying to figure out where anything was. We went to the falls a few times on Saturday. The whole time i was a little sad because it wasn't the right time of year for the moonbow. We missed it by a couple of weeks. We took lots and lots of pictures of the Falls and the trees, rocks and of course each other. I told Jim Sunday morning I wanted to go back one last time. He didn't want to but something kept telling me "go back one more time". So we did and lo and behold, there it was.....A RAINBOW. It was beautiful. God is sooooo GOOD!!
